Dray Alliance is seeking a driven individual to join our sales team as a Sales Development Representative and contribute to our mission of making drayage simple and predictable. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in accelerating Dray Alliance’s sales motion and be instrumental in acquiring new customers. The Sales Development Representative, Outbound is tasked with identifying and generating qualified sales opportunities through outbound activities. The right candidate is self-motivated and skillful at a variety of outreach methods and strategies designed to tailor strategic messaging to a high volume of prospects.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Source, manage, and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects from shippers of containers through ports of participation that meet our ideal customer profile.
  • Conduct thoughtful research to tailor messages to each individual prospect while also balancing this strategy with higher volumes
  • Concisely explain the value of Dray Alliance to a variety of personas in a compelling, professional, and engaging manner
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to execute strategic account plans
  • Gather necessary information from prospects to conduct successful handoffs to sales
  • Utilize a BANT qualification method to ensure you are generating qualified opportunities
  • Leverage all methods of outreach including email, LinkedIn, and cold calling
  • Accountable to volume, conversion, and pipeline performance metrics
  • Document all outreach activity through preferred methods in CRM, and lead weekly updates
  • Identify best practices to refine messaging and cadences
  • Introduce new creative strategies for engaging prospects
  • Share best practices with your fellow SDRs
  • Participate in sales methodology training, reporting to the VP of Sales

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)

  • Demonstrated desire and grit to compete with a passion for generating business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in tools such as Hubspot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn
  • Prior experience as a sales development representative with a track record of achieving targets
  • Strong desire to grow with a world-class sales organization
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Logistics, Transportation or Software sales
  • Previous experience working at a startup and/or rapid growth organization

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for the full-time position is $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 plus commission + equity and benefits. Our salary bands are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations. Individual pay will be determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education, and location. Please note that the compensation details in the posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits.
