We're looking for a Retention Marketing Manager to help us reach our ambitious growth goals and join our team based in Durham, North Carolina. Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, the Retention Marketing Manager will be responsible for all of Carpe’s database marketing efforts, including the creation, maintenance, growth, analysis, and project management of all retention marketing campaigns.

This role demands exceptional project management, extreme attention to detail, and an obsession with coming up with new ideas and driving profitable growth. The ideal candidate is highly creative, data-driven, entrepreneurial, performance and growth-oriented, and possesses a vibrant and positive attitude. They should have a strong desire to win and a deep understanding of retention and performance marketing. This role is critical in ensuring our customers stay engaged and loyal, significantly contributing to our overall growth and success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development Design, implement, and manage world-class, high-converting email and SMS campaigns to retain and re-engage customers.
  • Content Creation & Audience Segmentation Utilize data to effectively segment audiences and tailor messaging that resonates with various segments of our customer base.
  • Automation – Develop and maintain automated workflows and drip campaigns to increase new and returning customer sales.
  • Performance Analysis – Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of email and SMS campaigns, using insights to optimize future efforts and improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Content Strategy – Collaborate with the performance marketing team to create and implement content strategies aligned with growth objectives and customer pain points.
  • Trend Analysis – Stay up-to-date with retention marketing trends and other DTC brands to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with other marketing team members, including our graphic designer and Performance Marketing Content Manager to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
  • A/B Testing – Develop and conduct A/B tests to determine the most effective strategies, messaging, formats, and creative elements.
