Reimbursement Analyst (Third Party Analysis)
Third Party Analysis & Reimbursement is seeking a Payer Reimbursement Analyst to join our team. This position will manage analysis, data, and informational needs of cross functional stakeholders to inform of reimbursement issues and/or changes for assigned Third Party payers. The ideal candidate will have experience in Managed Care and/or Medicare and Medicaid denials, reimbursement, and policies with a solid background in data analytics. Responsibilities will include analysis as it relates to payer behavior and reimbursement trends, including denials and non-response to Accounts Receivable. The position will compile, model, validate and analyze data to understand current trends, facilitating well-informed decisions. Additionally, they will serve as the Revenue Cycle Management subject matter expert and point of contact for payer information and communication.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing approximately $10M in annual revenue for assigned payers.
- Weekly analysis of Accounts Receivable trends for assigned payers, including denials and non-response. Facilitates resolution for identified issues.
- Understanding of payer’s payment turnaround time, expected cash, and monitoring to ensure timely receipt.
- Monitor and communicate policy changes for your assigned payers. Quantify and communicate impacts to revenue.
- Cultivate relationships with key contacts at Managed Care organizations.
- Collaborate and suggest ways to improve processes for more efficient workflow.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Facilitates meetings with internal and external customers.
- Is knowledgeable of compliant billing practices and assures that Managed Care payers support them.
- Remains connected with the industry for upcoming changes and applies this knowledge to your job duties and AR.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; prefer Associate’s degree
- Minimum of 6 Years of work experience required (preferably in healthcare billing field)
- Previous experience in partnering with insurance companies strongly preferred
- Strong reporting skills in Excel and SAS strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in root cause analysis strongly preferred
- Strong Project management skills preferred

Pay Range: $45-68K (State minimum wages apply if higher)
Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST
HYBRID: This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of three in-office days at Burlington or Durham, NC locations and two remote workdays per week, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
