The Labcorp Oncology Precision Medicine Sales Team is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated, proven individual to join our rapidly growing commercial team in an innovative and dynamic space. As a Technical Specialist, Precision Medicine (TSPM), you will report to the Head of Precision Medicine Sales and will function as front-line customer-facing individual providing technical expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Precision Medicine.
This position is responsible for the establishment and support of new products and clinical applications in the oncology NGS market by working closely with oncologists, pathologists, and clinical researchers. The TSPM will help expand the global NGS market and gain adoption of tissue and liquid biopsy targeted assays and directly support sales team in technical discussions.
This role will also provide technical support for customers during the sales, implementation, and onboarding process of Precision Medicine solutions. The TSPM will also work in tandem with the Precision Medicine Innovation and Strategy and Customer Support teams to provide requirements and feedback for future customer-facing solutions related to the Precision Medicine products and solutions.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Communicate and cooperate on the same technical level with leading scientists and clinicians and serve as a link between external experts and internal management teams including product management as well as research and clinical R&D.
- Generate demand for Precision Medicine products and solutions by successfully executing a clinical market development plan that combines both clinical evidence and marketing tactics.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to build sales funnel and close new accounts through customer segmentation and targeting, lead generation, customer presentations and discussions, and literature/sales tools development.
- Work closely with marketing team to develop collateral material that uses clinical data to substantiate the clinical benefits and unique selling points of the assays.
- Guide corporate strategy and set future product specifications by identifying addressable clinical needs through market, key opinion leader, and advisory board feedback.
- Develop and present well-structured presentations to inform oncologists and pathologists about the latest company developments and support training and sales activity.
- Represent Labcorp Oncology at scientific conferences as well as user meetings and trainings as needed.
- Stay up to date on scientific publications, market communications and competition to develop and maintain accurate and consistent messaging within the commercial team.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Advanced degree in science or medicine, MD, or PhD is preferred but not required.
- 5-7 years of experience in the oncology and/or NGS marketspace.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
- Cooperative personality on both an external and internal professional level
- Experience in public speaking and one-on-one clinician engagement.
- Experience with product commercialization and working with sales.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and passport and willingness to travel, nationally and internationally.
- Experience working in a clinical or regulatory environment.
- Written & verbal English language communication skills, additional languages desirable.
- Must be a strong team player and effectively interface with other internal departments including but not limited to development, sales, marketing, and finance.
- Ability to follow business processes and give feedback.
- Ability to work both independently and in a structured work environment.
- Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.

Pay Range: $110,000-$140,000 base salary
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
