Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Travel notice: This position is remote with the possibility of work travel up to 7 times a year. Candidate can be located anywhere in the US. Must meet Work from Home requirements listed below.

Job Responsibilities
Supervise the day to day operations of the remote Cytogenetics team for prenatal, blood chromosomes, and tissues
Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department
Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage
Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations
Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations
Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations
Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
Perform administrative duties as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Technologist; 7 years preferred
Cytogenetics analysis experience is required
Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
Knowledge of ASI system is preferred
ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations
Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
Work From Home Requirements:
The candidate must have a home office space that is a dedicated room, not shared with other people, and meets HIPAA compliance.
Wired or wireless internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec is required.
The candidate must have the ability to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands
