Position Summary
Apply advanced knowledge and skills in bioinformatics, computational biology, and data analysis to support both clinical labs and R&D groups. You will collaborate closely with our research scientists and data analysts, contributing to high-impact projects that involve complex data interpretation and algorithm development.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Data Analysis: Perform sophisticated analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic datasets using state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
Algorithm Development and Optimization: Develop, refine, and implement algorithms for data processing, including sequence alignment, variant calling, gene expression analysis, and network biology.
Software Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of bioinformatics software tools and pipelines, ensuring they meet the research needs of the team.
Collaborative Research: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing bioinformatics expertise to support ongoing research projects and studies.
Data Interpretation and Reporting: Analyze and interpret complex biological data, preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Literature Review and Research: Stay abreast of the latest bioinformatics methodologies and advancements, integrating new approaches into ongoing projects.
Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance to junior team members or interns, sharing your expertise and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python, R, Perl, or Java. Experience with high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., RNA-Seq, DNA-Seq) and familiarity with bioinformatics tools like BLAST, GATK, Bowtie, and others.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze large, complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Experience: Previous research experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with machine learning or AI applications in biology.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually (USD)
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
