Laboratory Site Director - Genetics and Women's Health

LabCorp is seeking an Laboratory Site Director to lead operations for our Genetics and Women's Health division in RTP, NC.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct technical and non‑technical daily operations for the Women’s Health & Genetics laboratory.
- Manage department budgets and site P&L performance.
- Lead the implementation and launch of new assays and collaborate with peer WHG sites.
- Ensure accurate production scheduling, proper staffing, and efficient use of overtime.
- Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing technical and non‑technical staff.
- Provide mentorship, ongoing training, and clear performance management.
- Conduct department meetings and maintain consistent communication across teams.
- Maintain full compliance with CAP, CLIA, ISO, state, and corporate regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the laboratory consistently meets corporate turnaround time (TAT) and service standards.
- Investigate procedural deviations and lead effective corrective actions.
- Address operational issues and client inquiries in partnership with Medical Directors, Technical Directors, QA, and other leaders.
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and optimization of laboratory policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Support equipment installations and new method validations.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of laboratory testing performed within assigned departments.
- Foster a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- 5 years or more of experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years or more of experience leading and developing people leaders.
- 2 years or more years of experience in cross-functional leadership.
Additional Job Standards
- Experience working in a high‑volume laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to train, motivate, and develop staff.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
