Director, MarTech Enablement

Labcorp is seeking a Director of MarTech Enablement to join our team in the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC office.
Work Schedule
This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Translation
- Translate enterprise marketing technology strategy into practical lifecycle frameworks and automation models
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Analytics leaders to align MarTech capabilities with revenue growth, acquisition, retention, and engagement objectives.
- Develop scalable lifecycle frameworks and reusable automation patterns that support consistent customer engagement across business units.
- Serve as the primary business enablement leader helping marketing teams maximize the value of marketing technology platforms.
- Establish governance models, best practices, and operational standards for MarTech utilization across the organization
Enterprise MarTech Adoption & Change Leadership
- Champion adoption of MarTech platforms across marketing teams through enablement programs, training, and best practice sharing.
- Serve as a key advisor to marketing leadership on how to effectively leverage marketing technology to drive business outcomes.
- Help foster a culture of data, technology and AI-driven marketing, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Marketing Automation Platform Integration & Harmonization
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership during the transition from Oracle Eloqua to Marketo, including lifecycle redesign considerations and migration prioritization.
- Own the strategic roadmap, and governance for Adobe Marketo and Salesforce Marketing Cloud environments across the enterprise.
- Develop and execute a phased strategy to integrate, consolidate, or federate multiple Marketo and SFMC instances used by different business units.
- Establish enterprise data standards, segmentation frameworks, and reusable lifecycle models across platforms.
- Partner with IT and data teams to ensure seamless CRM, CDP, and analytics integration.
- Ensure adherence to evolving privacy regulations and enterprise data stewardship standards. Stay current on emerging technologies, evolving privacy regulations, and trends in CX design.
AI-enabled Marketing Technology
- Lead the utilization of AI/ML capabilities within Adobe, Salesforce ecosystems and other areas of the MarTech stack
- Identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies to enhance both B2B and B2C marketing performance.
- Establish experimentation and test-and-learn frameworks to optimize automation programs continuously.
Strategic Partner to Marketing Automation Operations
- Design scalable automation frameworks and reusable campaign models to improve speed-to-market across platforms, in partnership with Campaign Operations Leader.
- Serve as a strategic partner to campaign execution leaders, ensuring clear separation between strategy/design and deployment.
- Champion change management and enterprise adoption of unified automation standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10 or more years of experience in marketing technology, marketing automation strategy, and digital transformation.
- 5 or more years of experience in one of the MarTech ecosystems: Adobe, Salesforce, or Oracle.
Additional Job Standards
- Enterprise-level strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
- Familiarity with MarTech ecosystem platforms such as CDP, CRM, analytics, personalization engines, and data platforms.
- Cross-platform marketing automation architecture expertise (Marketo + SFMC).
- AI-driven marketing mindset.
- Experience supporting platform harmonization or migration initiatives.
- Strong influencing skills and ability to lead transformation without direct authority.
- Change leadership capability within matrixed organizations.
- Comfort navigating complexity across multiple business units.
- Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into technology architecture and lifecycle design.
- Experience supporting or participating in platform migrations.
- Experience managing or integrating multiple marketing automation instances across business units.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities within marketing platforms.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in highly regulated industries (healthcare preferred).

The Principal Marketing Technology Architect is a senior marketing transformation leader responsible for translating enterprise marketing technology strategy into scalable, AI-enabled customer engagement capabilities across Labcorp’s marketing ecosystem.
This role serves as the bridge between enterprise MarTech strategy and marketing execution, ensuring that marketing technology platforms are effectively adopted, integrated, and leveraged across both B2B and B2C teams to deliver personalized, data-driven customer experiences.
This role will focus on platform enablement, lifecycle framework design, best-practice governance, and marketing team adoption of core marketing technologies. The role will also lead key marketing automation integration initiatives to ensure platforms operate cohesively across business units while enabling scalable customer engagement.
This leader will play a critical role in enabling the migration from Oracle Eloqua to Adobe Marketo, ensuring continuity of customer lifecycle programs while establishing scalable frameworks and best practices for long-term platform adoption.
While Marketing Automation Operations teams focus on campaign execution and deployment, this role ensures that marketing teams fully leverage MarTech capabilities through lifecycle design, platform enablement, integration alignment, and governance frameworks
