Summary

Target RWE is searching for a Data Scientist for the Data Science team. You will use statistical and programming skills in support of data analysis, collection, and validation requests. You will also compile, standardize, and transform data from disparate sources in support of data analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Aggregate, manipulate, and reconcile health records from diverse sources.
  • Conduct classical statistical analyses (including tables and graphics/figures) for (quarterly reports, client queries, projects/manuscripts, and feasibility studies.
  • Utilize machine learning to uncover new patterns and trends and generate novel insights from EMR, claims, and third-party patient health data.
  • Summarize and communicate key findings on patient journeys, drug utilization, and clinical endpoints to diverse (technical and lay) audiences.
  • Support ongoing source data verification, process improvement, and QC efforts, including cross-validation of automated/captured vs. manual/entry data records.
  • Develop and deploy tools to automate data analysis and validation.
  • Collaborate with data curation, management, engineering, med affairs, and business development teams on one-off projects and OKRs.
  • Provide sales support and generate customer deliverables as assigned by the director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or related field. Master’s or Ph.D preferred. 3+ years of experience in data analysis and statistical programming using Python, R, Stata, SAS, or other languages. Intermediate to advanced SQL skills strongly preferred. Experience with LLM, AI, and ML models. Experience across multiple DB platforms and products (Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL) strongly preferred. Knowledge and experience working with multi-level healthcare data highly desired, especially EMR and claims data. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced statistical programming and data analysis skills. Must be able to conduct both statistical and ML (data science) analyses. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions, troubleshoot data issues, and act on own initiative. Ability to be productive and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, multi-task, fast paced environment. Strong interpersonal communication & teamwork skills.

Total Rewards

The salary estimated for this position is $90,000-125,000 per year. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
