Target RWE is looking to hire an Epidemiologist. Our science teams work with external collaborators to solve important problems in medicine and public health. Our software developers and data scientists build cloud-based, web-deployed analytic and visualization tools driven by the needs of our collaborative research.
As an epidemiologist, you will partner with a diverse team of epidemiologists, applied statisticians, and software developers in designing and implementing research studies using complex, real-world data, such as insurance claims or electronic health records. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge pharmacoepidemiology and advanced statistical methods while working with and learning from leaders in the field.
What You'll Do
- Provide support to senior colleagues and clients in the design, implementation, and management of epidemiologic studies using real-world data.
- Conduct literature reviews related to the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical outcomes for a variety of diseases.
- Contribute to oral and written scientific communications through conference abstracts, posters, podium presentations, technical reports/white papers, and manuscripts.
- Plan and conduct standard and advanced epidemiologic and statistical analyses with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Support the development of study protocols, including design and analytical considerations.
- Support the development of analysis plans for observational studies.
- Support the submission of peer reviewed publications to scientific journals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in epidemiology or equivalent experience. 3+ years of research experience (design, execution and publication of scientific research); experience in observational research and/or pharmacoepidemiology preferred. Experience and familiarity with quantitative research methods and fundamental statistical techniques. Familiarity with the submission process of scientific manuscripts to peer reviewed journals. R programming skills a plus. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong foundational knowledge in epidemiological methods. Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to take initiative while maintaining open lines of communication with senior colleagues. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. In depth knowledge of observational research methodologies. Strong proficiency in MS Office. Ability to troubleshoot problems and think analytically. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Proficiency in scientific writing. Ability to plan and execute diverse tasks at the same time.
Total Rewards
The salary estimated for this position is $78,000-100,000 per year. Compensation will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
